Echandia Secures Significant Follow-Up Order for Maritime Defense Sector
Echandia, an established supplier of safe battery systems tailored for maritime applications, has received orders for two additional option frigates, marking a significant follow-up to its first naval order in 2022, which included four frigates for a European NATO member country.

This latest order comes from a large systems supplier within the maritime industry, requesting robust and reliable battery systems that meet the stringent demands of maritime defense operations. The sector is characterized by its rigorous standards, necessitating advanced technology that can withstand the challenges of demanding environments.
“We are pleased to secure this follow-up order, which not only reflects our strong partnership with leading maritime system suppliers but also highlights the trust and confidence placed in our technology,” says Torbjörn Bäck, CEO of Echandia.
Echandia’s maritime battery systems are engineered to provide optimal performance in critical applications, ensuring that naval vessels operate efficiently while minimizing their environmental impact. This alignment with the maritime defense sector’s growing focus on sustainability and innovation reinforces Echandia’s role as a key player in the electrification of naval operations.
