Built for Maximum Safety and Performance

Echandia Ultra

Echandia’s Ultra battery system is an air-cooled lithium-ion energy storage system, certified for maritime heavy-duty operations and based on lithium-titanium-oxide (LTO) technology. LTO chemistry enables extremely long cycle life, high charge and discharge rates, and exceptional thermal stability, making it particularly well suited for vessels with demanding duty profiles.

The technology supports fast charging, consistent performance over time, and safe operation without the need for complex liquid cooling, contributing to lower system complexity and reduced lifetime cost.

Marine battery systems designed for maximum safety

We design systems that eliminate the risk of thermal runaway, withstand decades of operation, charge fast, and integrate seamlessly into any vessel architecture. Safety is our foundation. Every system is developed to remove the risk of heat build-up and fires, not just mitigate it. Developed to eliminate thermal propagation and prevent heat build-up.

Ultra Lightweight

Up to 50% lighter and significantly smaller than alternatives.

Extreme Longevity

30,000+ charge cycles with minimal aging.

Fast Charging

Market-leading fast-charging with superior power capability.

Modular Scalability

Modular architecture for simple installation and future scalability.

Redundancy in every critical function

Intelligent architecture ensures your vessel keeps running even if a fault occurs. Redundancy is built into all critical systems, and all components are selected for long life and reliability in harsh marine environments.

Smaller. Lighter. More Efficient.

Our battery systems require significantly less oversizing compared to other battery systems. That means more usable capacity in a smaller footprint.

Why our systems need less oversizing:

  • Nearly the full capacity is usable
Traditional systems must stay around 80% SOC to avoid degradation. Our technology allows operators to use almost every installed MWh without risking damage.

  • Minimal aging over time
With extremely long cycle life, there’s no need to oversize the system to compensate for early loss of capacity.

Performance that shows on your bottom line

Our systems outperform both fossil-fuel alternatives and other battery technologies in longevity, durability, and total cost of ownership.
